Hi Nerisa! I am Amy, a member of the peer review team for Participate. I work at an elementary school in North Carolina. I will be reviewing your work for this module, and look forward to providing you with some feedback. You have created quite an extensive collection of resources to support you as you teach inquiry based learning lessons with your students. You have provided many opportunities for learner agency in this project created for your students including choices in selecting research materials and selecting how they would like to share their learning. Connecting the learning to a favorite holiday celebrated by many Americans gives your students a reference point on which to place their new learning about the Christmas season in the Philippines. Providing the opportunity for your students to conduct an interview through Skype will be a very powerful learning tool. You mentioned several ways that students could choose from to create their projects. Who will they be sharing their research with? I am wondering if they will have a global audience for their work. Thank you so much for the link to your students' learning products and the link to your wiki that was provided in the Discussion Tab. The work that your students completed shows that that they learned so much about the similarities and differences between the Filipino and American Christmas traditions. The Skype interview was a super source for information. Their curiosity was definitely piqued and that drove their research. Your student reflection Padlet shows how students compared the two types of celebrations. It would be very interesting to see your students' thoughts on your second inquiry based question around the cultural implications of each culture's celebration. I am so glad that you were able to categorize this lesson as a Home Run even though you had some technical difficulties. I know that your students must be anxious to continue these engaging global lessons! I am happy to award the badge for your work in this module.
